Starbucks Celebrates its Big 4-0 With Treats

Starbucks is celebrating its 40th birthday!  In honour of the big 4-0, they are offering treats from today (March 10) until Saturday between 2 and 5 pm.  Called tribute days, customers can get a free Starbucks petite pastry (little treats for those who just want a “bit of something” – varieties include Cake Pops (in several different flavours), mini cupcakes (carrot cake and peanut butter), whoopie pies and squares) with any beverage purchase.  Petite pastries are one of many new products launched this week to celebrate the anniversary.  Others include:

  • Cocoa Cappucino: Espresso, bittersweet mocha sauce, steamed milk and foam along with a mocha drizzle
  • Starbucks Tribute Blend: A mix of four different beans, including semi-washed Aged Sumatra, sun-dried Ethiopian coffee as well as washed coffees from Columbia and Paupa New Guinea.
  • VIA version of the above blend.

In addition, the new Siren logo, much talked about earlier this year, made its debut at the Times Square store in New York, the Brompton Road location in London, Solona in Beijing and Avenue de l’Opera in Paris.  Cups with the new logo are now available in all locations.
