The speakers with organizers

Highlights of the night included dynamic duo fashion buyer, Vava Valentina (Lady V) and fashion designerAngela Phung (Sir Johnny), of The Store on Queen, who exuded authentic style and entrepreneurship at its purest.  They gave some great fashion tips for the summer including always accentuating the smallest part of your body (For curvy girls, that means Empire waistline, and for skinny girls, that means low rise). reminding us that style is ultimately “what looks good on YOU,” and the importance of attitude to style.

Bridal hair and make-up guru Kavita Suri reminded us that “You are beautiful and everyone is noticing.”  She shared two useful summer make-up tips: 1) Coloured liquid eyeliners are the “IT” beauty product this summer; and 2) To preserve your skin, use bronzer instead of tanning this summer.  Fitness expert Carol Schulte also had some great advice that it’s “not about getting skinny for summer but being healthy for always.”  There were also talks on relationships, finance and career as well as numerous vendors for a shopping market.
