Summerlicious Dinner at BENT

Summerlicious is in full swing and with just another week to go, I thought I’d share with you the delicious meal I had at BENT:

  • Appetizer: Shrimp tacos (with charred onion tomato salsa, chipotle, avocado, in a taro shell) – the taro shell was very crispy and delicious. Warning: These tacos fall apart very easily!
  • Main: Boneless chicken, stuffed with spinach and ricotta (with lemon parsley sauce and okra ratatouille) – this was good, but it’s not something that is all that unique.
  • Dessert: Three sample-sized desserts consisting of (from left to right): Strawberry, rhubarb and lemongrass compote with Grand Marnier crème fraiche and a butterfly pastry; passion fruit and mango panna cotta coconut tapioca, pineapple and passion fruit granitee; profiterole with vanilla custard hot chocolate sauce and sesame brittle (And I have yet to decide which one is my favourite)

There are two other appetizers and mains (as well as a vegetarian option not listed on the menu) to choose from.  The dessert is “as is.”  The Summerlicious dinner at BENT is $35 per person.
