Celebrity Chef and Chopped Canada judge Susur Lee has decided to compete this year in the the second annual Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation KitchenAid Cook for the Cure Culinary Showdown which will take place on Saturday, November 29, 2014 at the Allstream Centre.

To mark his participation in the highly anticipated event, Lee held a small reception at his Dundas West restaurant Bent. Guests included some of last year’s top fundraisers, prospective participants, foodies and breast cancer survivors.
Deborah Dubenofsky
After a heartfelt speech by breast cancer survivor Deborah Dubenofsky, Lee shared his commitment to this worthwhile cause. He stated, “To cure cancer, we need research which requires money. As chefs, we can only cook good food, but the other part is raising funds. Culinary Showdown is the ultimately foodie experience and I’m passionate to win.”

Other celebrity chefs competing in Culinary Showdown include Lynn Crawford, Mark McEwan, Corbin Tomaszeski and Vikram Vij, all of whom are having their own private receptions and gatherings building momentum for the challenge. Ultimately, these chefs will join the top 50 fundraising foodies, cooking side by side in a chopped-style competition as seen on TV!
