On Wednesday, I had the opportunity to visit The Suite at Kelly Claman’s studio in the King and Portland area.  Courtesy of Gail McInnes’ The Stylist Box, the space is filled with clothing and accessories from various  designers, all perfect for celebrities to pick out for the galas, premieres and press events during TIFF.  Designers and brands include Lucian Matis, Wren, Kova & T and more.  In addition to clothing, celebrities have the opportunity to try refreshments, amongst them THE ORIGINAL CROOKIE  – a croissant with cookies on it! This was the first time I tried the Crookie, and I have to admit that it wasn’t too bad!  Definitely needs the same kind of hype as the Cronut.

VIPs will all leave The Suite with amazing gift bags packed with accessories, chocolate as well as a “Don’t You Know Who [I think] I am?” CANFAR (in support of HIV/AIDS research) t-shirt and more.  According to a press release, expected VIPs include Lauren Lee Smith (Cinemanotes, The Listener), Gia Milani (director, All The Wrong Reasons), Katie Boland (Gerontophilia) and supermodel Monika Schnarre.
