Toronto’s trendy fashionistas and special celebrity guest, Nicole Richie, celebrated TNT The New Trend‘s 20th anniversary with an evening of shopping Thursday evening at its newly-expanded Hazelton Lanes location. The new store is 18,000 square feet over two floors, and is home to brands such as Herve Leger, Theory, 3.1 Phillip Lim, Nicole Richie’s House of Harlow 1960 and Winter Kate as well as new concepts by Greta Constantine, Payne, Black Pug DMK, Camille De Dampierre, and Cathy B Jewelry.
Attendees nibbled on sushi catered by Blowfish and shopped the night away. What was very interesting about the catering (likely due to logistics and space) was that the sushi bar was found right outside of the lower level entrance (rather than food passed around by catering staff), making it hard to find. It probably would have been easier if Whole Foods provided the catering, but some might think it’s less “trendy” to eat supermarket food at a party.
In addition to shopping and partying, designers and representatives from various brands were also in attendance. Besides Nicole Richie, Toronto Fashion Incubator’s (TFI) New Labels winner ASHTIANI as well as finalist, Caitlin Power were available to speak to guests about their respective lines. Attendees who made a $20 donation to TFI were given a discount on their purchases for the evening.
TNT’s Montreal location will be celebrating on May 18.
