Fashion Week….Burn Out?

Fashion Week, Toronto Fashion Week

Toronto Fashion Week starts next Monday.  Yes, it’s now “officially” called Toronto Fashion Week.   I’m looking forward to the Fall/Winter 2016 shows.  Kind of.  I don’t know.  Many of my favourites are back (though Pink Tartan is NOT showing for some reason), including Hillary MacMillian and Triarchy and Greta Constantine will be closing the week on Friday.  However, having covered shows since 2009, I’m kind of feeling burnt out.  I’m sure I’ll feel differently after going to a show or two, however.  And I’m also looking forward to the press/buyers’ brunch.  I am, after all, always interested in meeting up-and-coming designers.

Are there any bloggers who feel this way?  Or am I just transitioning?  I am finding that I’m more interested in the stock market and philanthropy involvement.  Yes, philanthropy research is my main “day” job now.  And it’s fun (so is following the stock market, by the way.  I like watching one of the business channels while working out and (silently) yelling at how the markets are doing (or not doing)).

Maybe I’m just…transitioning.  I’d like to factor in age, but you can be 90 years old and still have a strong interest in writing about fashion.  It isn’t to say that I’m not interested in fashion at all.  I will always support our Canadian designers.  It just doesn’t have to always come from online writing.  Most people who are interested in fashion aren’t bloggers, anyway.  Besides, I’m still posting TONS of pictures on social media (though most of my Instagram pictures are food-related haha).

I’m not trying to say that this is going to be my last fashion week.  It might be, but it might not.  DelectablyChic! will continue to roll with lifestyle-related posts for the time being and we will most definitely continue posting on Instagram.
