Toronto Food and Wine Festival: Starts Friday!

The inaugural Toronto Food and Wine Festival (formerly known as the Delicious Food Show) starts on September 18!  Sure, it has a very similar name to that OTHER food and wine event in November (but I’m sure no one will be confused), the website makes it sound a bit more casual and more consumer-focused.  And from my experience at its predecessor event, it is more food-centric.  And unlike that OTHER event, kids are most definitely welcome.

As it is a food event, there will be live demonstrations from professionals, including celebrity chefs such as Chuck Hughes, David Rocco, Mark McEwan and Roger Mooking.  Confirmed vendors/exhibitors include Cluny Bistro, MoRoCo Chocolat and a favourite of mine, Muskoka Lakes Winery (cranberry wine!!!!!).  The event is going to be at Evergreen Brickworks with adult (16+) tickets at $32 online and $36 at the door.  Tickets for youth (5-16) are also available online and at the door.  Kids under 5 get in free.  Sampling and special events cost extra.  Hours are 11 am to 7 pm on Friday and Saturday and 11 am to 6 pm on Sunday.

DelectablyChic! will be at the Toronto Food and Wine Festival on Friday morning.  Look for social media posts on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook under the hashtag #delchictfw15
