Tory Burch Spring/Summer 2013

Tory Burch’s Spring/Summer 2013 collection focuses on bright colours – citrons, blues and corals, specifically – as well as patterns and detailing, such as fringed hemlines.  Though very lively, it was at the same time, subtle enough not to be too distracting and great for warm weather-related events such as garden parties and luncheons on the veranda (especially the coral dress with the leaf print seen around 1:47).  Pair that with wedged sandals and voila!).

Hemlines in this collection are, for the most part, longer, reflective of the season as a whole.  However, many of the pieces for Spring/Summer 2013, especially those with fringed hemlines, will not work on anyone below 5’8″ as it is next to impossible to alter without changing the style or proportion of the pattern.

As for the shoes and accessories, there’s definitely quite a bit of detailing – especially on shoe straps and on some of the bags – a great way to make plainer looks pop!
