English Country Meets American Prep at Tory Burch

Though Tory Burch‘s Fall/Winter 2011 line was not live streamed, DelectablyChic! was able to get clips of the show thanks to News2Know.com as well as view pictures from various sources online. According to Tory herself, the Fall/Winter 2011 line was inspired by a marriage of “traditional American sportswear and English Country dressing.” Its outdoorsy feel really gives a vibe of a weekend at the family farm or hayrides at a college mixer, very much in line with Tory’s preppy with a slight twist philosophy.

Fall colouring is also a focus of this collection, with many pieces in a burnt reddish orange, just like the autumn leaves.  Of course, the fall and winter staples of camel and black also make appearances.  One issue with this collection is wearablity on many women.  Some of the pieces look a little on the heavy side and therefore can overwhelm tiny figures and skirt lengths, like most other collections are a little on the long side (which again, would not be good on shorter women).
