The Great Equestrian Life at Triarchy

I don’t know why I have yet to purchase Triarchy jeans because they are TOTALLY my thing!  While I have only been on a horse once in my life (other than wooden ones) and never really read equestrian books growing up (what kind of preppy girl am I?), I’ve always had a fondness for the look – especially in the colder months.  The blazer skinny pants and tall boot look is practically my winter uniform!  Therefore, I was glad to see the line’s return to its equestrian roots.

The Fall 2014 collection, presented with a very strong riding theme (for women, anyway.  The guys’ pieces were more loose-fitting and probably closer to the line’s OTHER roots – the motorcycle), filled with women wearing riding jackets, blouses and riding boots.  Colour and material-wise, the pieces consisted predominantly of lighter wash denims, leathers and mixed media.  The coloured jean is OVER!  Many of the women’s pieces were skinny or slim, straight legged – perfect for tucking into those tall boots.  While the way the show was styled seemed to target slimmer people, skinny jeans are NOT for thin (regardless of height – I’m 5’2″ or so and can pull them off very well) women only.  With the right pieces, anyone can carry of skinnies!  This is definitely a collection one should look forward to (especially if the jeans come in shorter lengths)!
