H&M To Collaborate with Versace in November

H&M‘s eighth November designer collaboration will be with Versace.  The annual fall collection, which shoppers line up in droves for (and sometimes camp out the night before – seriously, it’s like lining up for concert tickets), only to get a small piece of the action, will go on sale in Canada and the United States on Saturday, November 19.  This will be the second year the event launches on a Saturday.

According to Harper’s Bazaar UK, the women’s collection will have 40 pieces and will be true to the Versace style and will, of course, include leopard print and gold.  There will be a second collection, launching in January 2012 which will only be available for sale online.  Currently, neither the US nor Canadian sites offer e-commerce, but this may change by early 2012.

So will I be lining up to make purchases?  Not sure.  For some reason, I’m not as excited about this one.  With the exception of, perhaps, last year’s Lanvin collection, the designer collaborations have been a bit lackluster, for the past few years.  While I have been able to find a few pieces that I liked, my favourite remains the 2005 Stella McCartney line.

Will you be lining up for this collection?  Why or why not?
