Webitor’s Pick From Her Closet: Pleated Skirt from Jacob

Tired of the pencil skirt?  Here’s an affordable office piece ($69.90) that can be dressed up or down.  Looking for something to wear to a semi-casual office?  Pair it with a basic cowl t-shirt and cute pumps. More formal?  Basic exchange the t-shirt with a white dress shirt and some accessories.  Add a sweater if you want.

Pleated skirt from Jacob, seen here paired with a white button-down blouse (seen here: Banana Republic), necklace (H&M), purse (442McAdam) and pumps (Anyi Lu) – great for the office!

Webitor-in-Chief/Founder Cynthia Cheng Mintz in the black pleated Jacob skirt – in a slightly more casual look.  The grey top is also from Jacob.

The material is very lightweight and makes a good transition piece into warmer weather, when it could be paired with sandals.  Put this skirt on in the morning and you won’t need to change again to go out at night.  This skirt falls below the knee on shorter and average-heighted women and just above those who’re taller.  If belted, the waist, which is just below the belly-button can be made slightly higher.  Skirt ranges in size XS-XL.
