Your wedding day is possibly the most important day in your life and you want to look your best.
Face and Make-Up:
Sun Peached Glow by Vasanti
After cleaning your face, don’t forget to moisturize. We recommend LUSH Cosmetics‘ Imperialis facial moisturizer which helps skin that’s going through unexpected stress. For foundation, we love Elizabeth Arden‘s Flawless Finish Perfectly Nude liquid make-up with SPF 15 or Canadian brand Vasanti Cosmetics’ Liquid Cover Up. If you prefer powder foundations, we recommend Vasanti Cosmetics’ Face Base. For concealer, our favourite is The Body Shop’s All-in-One 5 Action Perfector which comes in a universal shade. Depending on your skin tone, Vasanti has a great Sun Peached Glow brightening mineral powder or a Brazilian Bronzer. If you prefer tints, Rimmel Stay Blushed! liquid cheek tint in Berry Blush is ethereal and The Body Shop’s Lip & Cheek Stain is much bolder, but both give a much softer finish than blushes and mineral powder. For eyes, we like to pair the intense rust of Vasanti’s Madrid eyeshadow with the base shade of The Body Shop’s Sunshine Love. For lips, hot candy pink is uber trendy ride now and we love The Body Shop’s Colour Crush Magenta Be. For a sexier, ruby red look, Rimmel’s Lasting Finish by Kate Moss Lipstick in shade Kiss of Life is without a doubt, the perfect red.
Scent:
Our 2014 choice for best perfume for Bride and Groom are the Calvin Klein Eternity 25th Anniversary Edition fragrances. The scent is a long-standing favourite and the packaging of these limited edition bottles were inspired by the wedding band the Duke of Windsor gifted his Duchess.
Nails:
Otherwise Engaged by OPI
OPI‘s blush-coloured Otherwise Engaged or Nicole by OPI’s candy pink Leapink for Joy are perfect choices for bridal tips. Absolutely classical and unquestionably chic shades. DelectablyChic!, one might say.
All-over Bronzer:
Victoria Secret Bronze is our favourite instant bronzing gel out right now. It has cute little beads in a clear formula and instantly coats the skin with a light tan.
Hair:
We’ve discovered the very feminine Crowns by Caleign floral tiaras that transform a bride‘s look into a very special and unforgettable one. It also is a nice way to surprise the groom with a completely different look. Best part, the crowns are keepsakes that the bride can cherish and reuse for years to come.
Emergency Supplies Handy:
Kiss My Face Liquid Rock Paraben Deodorant (Fragrance-Free)
Too often brides are so busy thinking of the glamour and romance of their big day, they forget the reality. It’s easy to get a stain – even a make-up one – while getting ready and white dresses are open targets. It’s important to keep an emergency kit handy including bandaids, deodorant, tweezers and Oxiclean. For deodorant, we recommend Kiss My Face liquid rock paraben free fragrance free deodorant as it is natural and very handy. For carpet stains, Oxiclean laundry stain remover can work immediate magic while for clothing stains Oxiclean laundry detergent can give instant relief until later you get a chance to properly watch the items. We also recommend having Oxiclean dishwashing liquid handy and lots of paper towel if you need to recycle glasses in a pitch and and want that perfect sparkle.
