World MasterCard Fashion Week Day 4 Highlights

Four designers presented today, including Rachel Sin, whose familiar, simple-with-a-twist cuts were seen in a variety of different neutrals of pale pinks and tans as well as darker, navy blues.  Lace embellishments, which were strong in her fall/winter collection, continue into the spring.  Other designers included finalists from the 2012 Mercedes-Benz Start-Up competition, Triarchy Brand (denim) as well as Soïa & Kyo, whose light tones were not only had pops of colour (love the berry jackets), but were accompanied with interesting, spa-inspired head pieces on the female models.  The final show of the day was Arthur Mendonça, a collection that like last season, was not without grown-up glamour.  Jewel tones, mostly thought of as something for colder months were seen more than once in this collection, especially cobalt and berry.  Lighter shades, such as white, lime and coral were, of course, also part of the collection.
