World MasterCard Fashion Week Day 5 Highlights

Friday was the final day of the Spring 2013 collections.  The day started out with bridal line, Paraezo, whose gowns were paired with some very interesting headpieces.  Other designers included Travis Taddeo, who showed his signature S&M-inspired looks (definitely not a look for everyone), UNTTLD (with a collection inspired by haikkus, the audience was welcomed into the runway by a recording of kids singing in Japanese), both Sunny Fong’s VAWKKIN and VAWK (an interesting ode to Madonna, including a conical bra!) lines as well as the first exclusively “plus size” line Allistyle.

Also presenting Friday was Express, a US-based clothing store which catering to young professionals with work and “fun” pieces at very affordable prices (mostly under $100).  Express recently made its debut in the Greater Toronto Area and now has stores at Fairview Mall, Bramalea City Centre and Square One in Mississauga.  Its first downtown Toronto store will be at the Eaton Centre.
