Yelle to Perform at Operanation 2014

French pop group, Yelle will be the featured artist at this year’s Operanation, to be held on October 16, 2014 at the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts.  It’s a week earlier than usual, and perhaps a good thing, since the party is often during World MasterCard Fashion Week, meaning for many (especially media), skipping shows or rushing from the final show up a subway station to the party.

Operanation is one of DelectablyChic!‘s favourite annual events in Toronto, which supports the Canadian Opera Company‘s Ensemble Studio, which trains young opera singers.  With the exception of 2009-2010 COC season, the event has been held in October.  Featured musical guests have included Broken Social Scene, Nellie Furtado and Rufus Wainwright and all perform with Ensemble Studio artists.

Fashion and visual art are also typically featured at Operanation and this year is no different.  This year’s artists are Keith Cole, Derek Liddington and Orest Tataryn while the fashion designers include Sarah Stevenson, Chloe and Parris Gordon of Beaufille and Kaelen Haworth (KAELEN), whose t-shirt designs were part of last year’s event.

Want to attend Operanation this year?  Tickets are still available and can be purchased online.
